Melvina Can Machinery is a family-owned & operated company for over 70 years.
During World War II, the company made cans, ammunition boxes and was issued a Presidential Directive (extremely high priority) to manufacture tank treads for US Navy amphibious landers. Machinery was difficult to procure during WWII and our company’s founder, James G. Cahill, became quite adept at building new machinery and rebuilding what was available.
As peacetime came, he began to expand the company into the machinery building and rebuilding company it is today. We now have both second generation and third generation Cahills involved in company management.
Melvina Can Machinery’s extensive history in rebuilding used can machinery allows us to stand out from the competition. Because of our experienced staff, we are better able to meet the needs and desires of our customers.
